My greatest pleasure is to see STOP-GAP grow and expand the use of innovative techniques to change lives though drama therapy and our touring plays program. Drama therapy is a fast, safe and effective intervention that we use to profoundly impact the lives of battered women, abused children, those struggling with chemical dependency, the frail elderly, and children facing life-threatening diseases. Our touring plays are equally effective in the use of interactive theatre to promote the prevention of, for example, violence against women and children or bullying in any form. Schools can now choose from over twenty plays dealing with powerful, potentially traumatic challenges that impact young people's lives. We pledge to continue responding to critical needs in our communities and beyond.
